oh dear...
oh dear,
i just put the westie up for sale. not too sure how i feel - hey, change is good, fresh new etc etc etc !
we'll see what the response is. i think the price is reasonable/good so hopefully it'll go to a new home and i can get on with things
i kinda fell in love with a stacklight 1976 w115 mercedes that i saw for sale and it just seemed right....
see what i mean ?
if the westie goes i can play with the merc and finish the panel van again and play with that too :) (and i can buy nice shiny parts for my new engine)
seems like a good idea ?

new year !
ah well, roll on two dubbleoh six !
a new year and my brain is already imagining it sunny and smelling of spring time. more warm long days of spannering and cruising to the beach !
but it's still cold and the news tells me to expect snow...
... so off to rome for a few days :)
priced up the final bits i need to rebuild the 2.1 wbxmotor. studs, gasket kit, bearings & new pushrod tubes... getting on for £300 ! ouch.
ah well. i already have two spare sets of heads (one care of rad dubs , thankyou !) and a set of new barrels pistons and rings so all is on track... i've started looking for a workshop/lockup in bristol as the kitchen is looking less likely as a place to build engines (in pursuit of domestic harmony you understand)
on an engine tip, marco mansi has his monstrous turbo wasserboxer motor up for sale. and CHEEP too ! a lot of motor for not much $$$$ (in the grand scheme of things!)
the spec on this motor is awesome and the engineering is fantastic...
...if only i had more spending cash available :(
lots more news to tell, will post more when i get back. need to dash to the airport now. more later!
