hehe!
got a lineloc, second hand, care of mr. metcalfe..
still got the switch and relays from the samba so it's all good to go !
it seems like the longest time since i wrote in the weblog...
loads has happened - buswise- and i've been too busy giggling to tell you all about it...
got the new BK racing rims...
louie cleaned them up and i did a backyard special rattlecan job on them...
off to the post office parcel dept this morning to collect a large rather sorry looking cardboard box.
hacking the box open on the kitchen table reveals this...
a toyota celica chargecooler, pump, pipes and radiator.
and i think that with this and one or two other bits of plumbing i've collected recently i've got the lot - apart from a boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge, which i can get with no problems -
what this means is that it's time to start assembling. the bus is ready - ish - i've got the wheels - just need tyres - and yesterday it did it's first wheelspin... albeit coming out of the yard at MADworkshop on the other side of pristol but it was proper screechy with smoke and everything... all very childish but it made me laugh and made a great noise :)
so, it's time actually see if it'll work..
watch this space..
hubbs called over in beige wedge of doom with a new set of AVO shocks to fit up to it. nice new adjustable ones with a ickle dial on the side of each one....
he also had a set of his old springs for me so...
armed with spanners a hacksaw and a camera we slammed the panel and fitted up his bus witrh the avo dampers... full photo how to will be posted (when i get a free moment!)
while the front wheels were off i also offered up the BK Racing wheels i blagged off ebay... 17 x 7.5 (i really should start working that out in metric....
'yeah, I just put some 42s on the bus '
more later, got to cook tea for hungry teenagers!
