the morning after

well, it's monday morning after the VWAction summer beach party at herts county showground.
looking at the week ahead it looks like a busy one. i should be having the orange 412 that i bought turn up tomorrow. i'm racing at the summer nationals at the weekend, i'm supposed to be getting the new engine installed this week, i need to fit the new lineloc into the bus. i need to finish (start) decorating where i knocked out the downstairs walls last week.

it's the fugliest car i've ever seen, i think thta's why i bought it. i have this fantasy that if i slam it and put it on 20 inch touring car style wheels it'll look cool.

however i thin it'll just look like trhe fugliest car in the world that someone that can't afford a vauxhall nova has had a go at.

neon washer jets anyone ?

so, i didn;t realy do any of the things that needed doping but i did do a lot of gardening. so now the space is clear for the 412 to nestle in next to the samba when (if...) it arrives tomorrow on a trailer from the east, the mystical east!

i also started stripping the akciddento pit bike

i finished the day with the front forks and chainguard and got them into primer, sorted out the saddle and cleaned all the gold (bling) overspray off the wheels and tyres. it'd be nice to weld in some extra tubing to make it more chopper/lowrider if i had some welding gear, and some tubing, and could weld worth a damn...

i guess i really ought to learn to weld properly. but then if i did i'd be able to weld which would mean more projects would be within my reach whoch would mean i'd be buying every rotbox waif and stray within 100 miles and spending all my time welding up garbage that i don't want just because i CAN weld.

so,

I can't weld worth a damn, and i don't want to know (actually i do) unless there's going to be a collapse in the fabric of our society and i end up in a vally in vales welding old traktors together to make cheese to power generators or some survivalist nonsense like that....
