garage sale time !

i finally pulled out all the junk and garbage and dusty bits of bus and engine i've been storing for who knows how long and piled them up in the kitchen. i also pulled all the old music and computer gear into one heap and photographed the lot in preparation for selling it all. i'm running out of space for storing stuff i know i'll never use!

after some cleaning and clicking i've posted a list of splitscreen bus and engine bits onto the Volkszone forum. the drummachines and other cumputer gear has gone onto ebay. i've never sold on ebay before so we'll see what happens!

the parts on the VZ forum have generated quite a bit of interest. most of the stuff has sold twice. - in theory- lets see who actually sends the payment through. i'll let you all know over the next week or so who is particularly slack at stumping up payment (:)

is it a minisubmarine? a vintage time drive ? an excellent condition eberspacher BN4 petrol heater ? you choose, yours for £150

a classic Korg tape stage echochamba? or the wildest vintage radio for your bus ? yours for the change down the back of the sofa and a sticky carpet covered toffee.

i don't like toffee. its a pointless, spiteful kind of sweet. why not eat flavoured cowgum?

the nokia 7650 camera phone i got yesterday is a big pile of cheesy dreck. it won't link to my mac of the USB data cable. the nokia website has no mac drivers the only 3rd party software i can find is for putting logos onto the phone and doesn't work either. after a bit of investigation i find out that the camera is the lowest resolution one on the market too. after tooling round town to the 02 shop, the nokia shop and the (cough cough phone company) shop it turns out that no one really knows what the phones do or what the specs are on them but they can sell me a nice range of coloured clip on covers. and don't get me started on the acid damaged schizophrenic pricing policy !

and the phone is stupid and damn fugly.

what's wrong with these people? do they think that the public will stand for overpriced, shoddy, useless, pointless functionality in a basic device and spend money just for the cause of fashion ?

just how stupid do they think we are ?
